We want to say Happy Labor Day to all those that celebrated in the U.S. and Canada, especially those that worked.
Labor Day represents all the hard work and patience that went into gaining labor rights. The labor union in the early days of the Industrial Movement had to fight and sometimes give their lives to gain simple pleasures that we take for granted today. This is a day like any other day, where many American are working, though our Nation pauses to remember the period in which Laborers were not as lucky as you and I.
We have today off because the government deems it so, perhaps to have an official government holiday in the month of September, where no religious holiday exists. But remember that life was not as easy as it once was for our four fathers. You only need to read The Jungle to be aware of the past.
But also remember, that not all individual are free throughout the world, an in our very nation. There are still many who struggle to earn a living and live the “American Dream.” Today we give thanks to those workers who came before us and for those who have yet to come.
